A distribution is a curated selection of programs and protocols that already exist, packaged together and made to work as one. That is real work, and it is not what we are doing.
DivisionOS is an operating system built from the ground up. The init, the shell, the filesystem, the package model and the desktop were each written for this system rather than chosen for it. When something did not fit the way we wanted the system to behave, we did not configure around it. We replaced it.
The kernel makes us Linux, the rest makes us Division.
